Export volume and price of rare earths rose in May

The analysis of customs statistics shows that in May 2022, China exported 4862.5 tons of rare earth, an increase of 16.6% year on year. The average monthly price reached a new high in recent 8 years, namely US $24.8/kg, up 92% year on year.

In addition, in the first five months of 2022, China exported 21969.7 tons of rare earths, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%, a slight increase over the previous April.
