Is the power of the motor determined by the performance of the magnet?

1. The power of electric vehicle motor is determined by three parts: one is the magnetic induction intensity and area of the magnetic field of the outer ring. The second is the size of the gap between the stator and rotor (reluctance). The third is the power of the current in the stator coil. When the first two factors are the same, the greater the power of the current in the coil, the greater the power of the motor.

Therefore, it is not only the size of the magnetic steel, but also related to the effective area and the magnetic strength of the magnetic steel.

2. In permanent magnet motor, the strength of magnetic field determines the torque of motor.

3. According to the motor and winding data of the same size, the strength of magnetic steel affects the low speed and high output.

4. Since the motor is from electric energy to kinetic energy, the power is determined by the coil, but the strength of the permanent magnet determines the distribution of electric power into kinetic energy and heat energy. The stronger the magnetism of the permanent magnet, the more electric energy is converted into kinetic energy, and vice versa.
